Fucking Blog that. As we say in the Blogging game. The Southgate dilemma is obvious. World Cup semi. EURO final. Achieved and built on his way of playing. A way of playing that gets people's goat at times. And, if it unravels, it unravels into a big unraveledy thing.

I'm not going to make any ludicrous claims that long term, game attending fans will view tonight differently. (Hint - I am). But, fans feed off fans. Once the booing starts. And, the self deprecating chants. You're in the shit. 

I get it. The claim will be that it wasn't the losing, it was the way we lost. There's some merit in that argument. Very occasionally, (thinking Spain away at Real Betis), I feel England are doing so well, that they're sending out a message. And I love that. So much that I scream "Send A Message".

And the Hungarian fans will have felt like that tonight. A bit of Olé Passing. Two goal wins are great. Three nil up is great. But a four goal win sends a message. Southgate needs to put up the Message Received flags.

Before the game, we set out to walk from our Wolverhampton hotel to Aldi. In order to procure The Midnight Feast. To do that, we had to schlep through the beer garden of The Bluebrick pub. Now, sounds basic enough. Except when we were in the middle of the throng, it came to pass that The Bluebrick was obviously the place Plod had designated as the Hungarian Fans meet. 

All I'll say is there was quite an amount of posturing. Look. Mainly, I don't mind what my fellow fans are up to. Sure, I'll disagree strongly with a lot of the shit they come out with. But, sighs…

The backcloth is "the Hungarian fans are racists". Some are, many won't be. More backclothery, "taking the knee is BLM and is Marxist". Laughable. But, yes, Hungary have had to play behind closed doors because of racism in the stadium. Some fucking Hungarian BanterPants has come up with his alternative to BLM. (Actually it was the Hungarian PM, Orbán.)

The "logo" has some stick man on his knees with a halo handing a crown to some stick women with a halo, who we presume to be the fictional character Mary. Thus mixing in Harry Potter, etc & Religion in a stance against progress. They can fuck off as far as they can with that bollocks. But, you know, Bantz.

Returning to the subject of Fans Feeding Off Fans. England fans, en masse, chanting;

"You Racist Bastards, you know what you are"

Coupled with England fans, en masse, adding additional stanzas to the National Anthem…

"No Surrender"

I can't swear it was the same fans indulging in both chants. But, it was. FFS.

Anyway, we didn't have a drink in The Bluebrick due to Hungarian Religious Posturing. We did;
