49 New Zealand Beer Ticks

I love motels in New Zealand. There are usually odd little rituals, which only Kiwis can truly understand. You nearly always get a little, quarter pint carton of milk to start you off. You go into the little office. The fella checks you in. Does the paperwork. Explains a bit of shit. And, then hands you a carton of milk over the counter.
The bloke here has surpassed himself. Little carton of milk over the counter. Reached down again. Rummage. Rummage. Up he pops with two bottles of beer as well. Gotta love that.
So, that is an attempt to explain how & why my 49th different NZ Beer Tick ended up being an Ordinary. DB, Export Gold from a bottle at 4%. Not awful. But, absolutely nothing going for it. Something, something, something, just like the England Cricket Team.
We got it to a position. It ended unsatisfactorily with bad light & some drizzle. There is nominally an extended 98 over day tomorrow. But, surely they can't get all them in. A day. Three sessions. 98 overs. To take ten wickets. And level the series. I never mind getting to positions. Go on then. Best team wins it from here.
Was there a plan? Don't know. They all seem to want 400 don't they? I thought they might be looking for that at one point. Or maybe 8 overs of Anderson & Broad before Tea. In the end, it more or less came to a natural death. Stokes out at 282 for 6. They've added a fairly healthy seventy. Before saving Anderson the trouble. But then, we couldn't make anything happen in the 23 overs they got in.
