Nominally, Step 6 Hallam v Step 4 Frickley. I say nominally because my untrained eye wouldn't really know if Frickley have put out a full strength side or not. What did become clear as the game unfolded is that Frickley did have goalkeeping issues. Reports say they started with their goalkeeping coach (Gavin Saxby), (as their "number one" was unavailable).
He went in the busted bacon string area, and sub Danny Burns has to come on. Some quick googling & twitterering from nearby Hallamites revealed him to be a Centre Half!!!
It was already two one to a very lively Hallam at that stage. The first goal more or less on the first minute set the tone. Hallam were 4-1 up by 55. And it was always going to be a long haul back for Frickley from there.
In other good news, the clubhouse is still serving Crosspool Ale Makers Society tins. Although, in support of CASK, I went with the single handpull of Jennings Cumberland.
