Friendly, New York Stadium, Rotherham

Another first. New York Tavern. Just across The Don from the Stadium. Can't help wonder what it'd be like for an away game at Rotherham United. One day maybe.

Anyway, it's in the CAMRA Guide. An outlet for Chantry Brewery.  I've been a bit of a Big City Ponce there. One of the handpulls has a handwritten £2.50 sign on it. I thought maybe it's past its best & they've reduced it to push it out. I'll swerve it.

Of course my arse is tit positioned. They've marked it up because it's MORE EXPENSIVE than the others. I've gone £2.10 for a pint of Chantry Brewery, Iron And Steel (Bitter) on cask at 4%.

And then, Chantry Brewery, Mighty Millers on cask at 5.5%. Both decent, consistent, fairly safe.

Usual 90 mph U17 game. Nobody really stopping to have a look. Decent enough game for that though. England probably deserved it. Once it had calmed down a bit from two goals in the first eight minutes.
