Gillespie/Gale Gunslinger Gauge - creeps up to THREE. Ballance, Brooks & Willey.

They're all at it. Having praised Warwickshire & Edgbaston to the Heavens. For their across the Marston’s range use of cask, keg & bottles. I find today that Nottinghamshire & Greene King have got their game together.

The Member’s Bar had; (on cask)
Old Hoppy Hen at 4.2%
St Edmunds at 4.2%
Greene King IPA at 3.6% (that one on keg as well)
And, in bottles;
East Coast IPA
Old Speckled Hen
Old Golden Hen
IPA Reserve
IPA Gold

Superb effort. Sorry fellas. Didn't indulge. I had a tin of Black Flag Brewery, White Cross IPA at 5.7%. A new brewery for me. Great beer. I'd have said more of an American Pale than IPA. But, still bursting with flavour & very well balanced. Citrus in the mouth. But, not overpowering.

What are we gonna do? Who has got any innovative ideas? The floodlights keep going on. But, the players keep going off. Something must be done…..

Still. The early finish meant I could hit the still great Stratford Haven. Milestone, Azacca Gold on cask at 4.2%. Great drop.

Notts went off like two trains. First wicket at 77 in the sixteenth over. Going at over 5 an over at that stage. Steven Mullaney was third down at 132. He'd done 78 at more or less a run a ball (80 balls).

But. Gale rang the changes. Didn't hesitate. Wickets are brakes. With more disciplined bowling after Lunch. Yorkshire put themselves right in the mix. Brooks went for some humpty in his first couple of overs. But, turned out the pick. Four (albeit expensive wickets).

Nice day's cricket. And good beers.
