The problem with these games is that the United Futures are inevitability a young side. I don't know what information United give the home club. So that they put a “similar standard” side out.

When I played for The Cabs, we used to go abroad for a post-season tour. No matter what we did, we couldn't get over to the organisers how useless we were. On one trip to Paris, we turned up to find it was a Stadium, with turnstiles & they were charging money to get in. We were an Office Team.

One year, I said “try & find us some Sports Club Over 35s 2nd XI, that's where we're at”.

Anyway, point being, that's been men against boys. And not enjoyable for that.

Sorry, New Mills can't knock Glossop off the top of the leader board. Simple. No cask.

I'd already sampled a great pint of Harviestoun, Summer Legend Easy IPA on cask at 3.5% in “another location”.
