Oh Hello. Rafa’s at it with the bat now. In at 8 at 178. He's finished Red Ink 52 off 30. Three fours & more sixes (three) than any other Yorkshire batsman. (Equal with Delport for the East Midlandarianists).

Two for 46 off his permitted 9 overs an’ all. And a catch in the Outer. No, you keep him out of the game. But, really it was Spin Twin Karl Carver who won it. THREE FOR 24 off his 9. Read that again. Lovely.

I maybe felt 250 odd wasn't going to be enough. It had been a recovery job from 98-4 at 21.1 overs. And then Leics went off like a train. It was as if they'd started off on a banging 8.7% DIPA. But, wickets, like the abv, will slow you down. Felt like a tight finish. LCCC would have got there if YCCC hadn't taken those last two with 14 balls left.

Potentially nice rhythm to Day/Night 50 overs. Lie in. Off Peak Cheap Day Return. Bit of a ballache getting back to Sheffield. You'll miss the last bus home. And……

Time in The Arcadia before the toss. 8 on cask, 3 on keg.

Wylam, Sticky Bud, DIPA on keg at 8.7%. Well, yeah. Serious beer that. My head is already spinning as I write this. There's everything to love. Nothing to dislike. Smells like a pine forest. Not of pine, of a forest. Mouthfilling. Sweet, but not overpowering. Deep. Rich. Perfectly bitter balanced.

Dry & Bitter, Simcoe Pale Ale on keg at 4.6%. It smells like a cup of tea without milk to me. Not unpleasant. Just a bit herbal. Full of flavour. The bitterness comes quickly & stays. It delves into salad leaf bitterness, in a pleasant way. Very nice beer.

I finished off with Okell’s, Castletown Pale on cask at 4%.
