Cumulative number of different Cask Ales served at Headingley this season. STEADY at ONE.

Mercy Killing declaration by Surrey. Yorkshire looked like they've forgotten how to take wickets. Forgotten how to bowl with patience & discipline even. A change is acoming. Surely. Indeed, even hinted at by Moxon in a feisty pre-match Members Forum. He talked about a tipping point. Although, I felt mainly in relation to batting frailty.

Brooks. 18 overs, went for 109.
Rashid. 16 wicketless overs, went for 107.
Coad & Bresnan both went for top side 90.

No life. No energy. That's what it looks like from the stands. Still time to lose Lyth though. Before the rain came.

Entertaining Members Forum. One fella claimed to have written to Strauss offering to pay for a one way ticket back to South Africa - “and don't come back”. Same fella suggested Yorkshire needed to grow a backbone and stand up to the ECB.

Different fella wanted Yorkshire to refuse to let England play at Headingley. And, refuse to let Yorkshire players play for England. Basically, he wanted that in their contracts. He didn't think T20 required any skill whatsoever.

Neither fella suggested how they would fund 4 Day County Cricket without International or T20 cricket.

On the tins. Yeastie Boys, Digital IPA at 5.7%. Lots of bitter orange upfront. Develops a bit. Long finish. Very refreshing & stays with you.
