Damn. We're suggestible aren't we? I asked for a taste. The BarLady asked me if it really tasted of chocolate & cherry. It's in your head now isn't it? If it'd said coffee & raspberry, maybe I'd have got those flavours. Anyway. It's lovely & balanced as in no overpowering flavour. Whatever is in there is nice & gentle. It does get fruitier the further down it you get. But, it never gets too sweet nor cloying. There is a lot going on. Loved it.
A comprehensive win for the U19 Futures. We're falling between stools here. The Academy U18s are struggling. Rock bottom of their Professional Development League table. But, when the nucleus of those lads turn out in this U19 League, they've proved too good for a lively Sheffield side. I don't exactly know what they're trying to do. I'm guessing they want these lads to play together a lot, get some understanding & confidence and stay together as a cohort. Hence, that was very much an Academy Lite XI. Sheffield had their moments. Kept at it. Were a credit. But, I'm afraid Utd ran away with it. Let's hope that builds a bit of confidence that they can take into the Professional League games.
It got even harder for Club after 60 minutes. One of the strikers got clattered, carried on a bit, but had to limp off. Unfortunately, there were no more available Subs, so they had to finish with ten men.
In the absence of team sheets & in ground announcements, it's all “by eye”. I've got that as a Hat Trick for Reon Potts & a Double for Sam Ackroyd. Sorry if that's Bollocks. Reon knocked home United's second after 42. A good finish after being played in by Sam Ackroyd. Five minutes after half time, Simeon Oure was brought down in the box. Reon sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot. (That was 4-0). Finally, on 80 minutes, the Hat Trick was a sneaky cheeky flicky back heel as he attacked the cross.
