This Blog is now officially INCOGNITO. I've had a handful of Blog Posts which have been read by over 600 people. I've courted controversy. I've chased likes & retweets. I've tagged until there is no fucking tomorrow. No lie - it's all an ego trip. But, I don't want to upset anyone, so I don't want people at the clubs I'm visiting seeing posts. I can't bring myself to actually not Blog. It's my diary. It cheers me up. But, X, No Publicity, No Promotion for the time being.
Because. In order to get the Supping part of the Blog out of the gutter, I'm having to smuggle cans into the ground. I'm not the only one. The Hallam Ultras littered their ends of the ground with discarded Stella Tins. Poor that. On a number of levels. And, it hardly puts me on a Banning Order. But, it just feels a bit dirty. All brought on by the latest Tier 3 Covid Regs for South Yorkshire.
No hitting the Donny pubs early doors. It did transpire that the Rosso Clubhouse was serving beer at the tables if you bought a meal. Salute to them for finding a way. But, not for me.
Look. I don't NEED a drink. But, I was just beginning to evangelize about the simple joys of occasionally having a half decent ale, in your hand, pitchside. And now this. Today's tip is - 330ml cans - could easily be mistaken for pop. 500s less so.
BrewDog, Dead Pony Club, Pale Ale from a 330 at 3.8%.
My overall feeling is that Hallam dipped in that one because their heads went. The carping at the Ref was sapping so much of their energy by the end. It all ended in absolute farce over the far side from me. Fuck knows what actually happened. My take. The Lino flagged the Refs attention. To explain that Hallam keeper, David Reay, had said summat to him. Bit of an inquest. Reay Sin Binned. (Less than ten on the clock at this bit). Kit passed over on the pitch, in old skool style, to Centre Half Max Pemberton. Meanwhile. Reay & the Hallam bench trying to explain their view that you can't Sin Bin a keeper. (See relevant clause, etc). The Ref is nothing if not resourceful. Just fucking Red Cards him instead.
After being a goal up, Hallam were two one down at that stage. Makeshift Max couldn't keep a penalty out. And Hallam got one back in the half hour (joke) of injury time. All adding up to a four two loss as I put my empty tins in the bin.
