But, Olde England, a CAMRA Guide pub here in Northampton has taken it/us to a whole different fucking level. A nice place, but an odd place. The bar is on the ground floor. But, there are no seats on that level. Everything is "old wood" The seats are down, in the basement. Or up the "old wood" rickety twisting stairs on the first floor. (It's a basic look at the clips & remember system). We. Went. Up. We ordered & drank our first pint.

And, when you wanted the next one, sat in your "old wood" booth, up the rickety twisting stairs. The system to attract the barman's attention was thus……

We're now set up for this low scoring, fourth innings run chase shindig. Skipper Ricardo Vasconcelos topped for the Steelbacks with 55. Before he was Dom Bess's fourth get back in the hutch at 106 for 5. Tom Taylor held it all together at the end with 42 in an hour and forty.
