Hard day at the office for the Yorkshire lads. Nothing against James Middlebrook. I understand why they've done it. Happy to be proved wrong by the Stats. But, I don't like the Patchwork Quilt approach to recruitment that YCCC are getting sucked into.
I've already blogged about the unusual, bordering on unique, circumstances of England being in the West Indies during the County season. And losing six (nee four) players to that squad.
Difficult for the club. But, I firmly prefer to dip into our existing resources. A new face (Carver) is a new face (Middlebrook). So, there is inevitably disruption. But, build a approach, get player buy in, take it forward together. My opinion.
Middlebrook can hardly be described as a here today gone tomorrow, couldn't care less, gun for hire. He's born in Leeds, playing in the Leagues. But he's still patchwork.
Arcadia at Lunch. Nice pint of Hand Drawn Monkey, Boomtastic on cask at 5.4%. Described as Brown Ale. More Traditional Bitter in my view.
