That game just emphasised the hit & miss side of the 50 overs. Yorkshire were OK at 112 for 2. But, not at 149 for 6. A rebuild & rearguard got 'em to 247. But, it never felt, looked, nor proved to be enough. The Bears ended up winning it with four overs & bits to spare. They lost two wickets within 17 of the total - ie, once it was already won.

Sam Hain was unbeaten on a 110 ball 102. Jeetan Patel had earlier done four for 33 off his ten. Yorkshire made inroads, but couldn't get anywhere close.

Plunkett & Willey at the IPL. Root & Bairstow back preparing for the Test. But, we knew all that. Former one day skipper Lees all over the place, in all formats. Current skipper Ballance missing in as yet unexplained circumstances. The Fish injured. White Ball Only Specialist Rashid caught behind off their spinner for 4 off 5, & going for 46 wicketless. Black Sheep the only beer on. If you say it like that, it sounds a bit oh no here we go. But, just the hit & miss side of the 50 overs I'm afraid.

Good, bright, partisan crowd in. Lots of kids & activities. Some You Bear’ers. But of nice weather helps. Great beer in Growlers. Same old. But, you could get used to this.

Wylam, In Every Dream Home A Heartache, from a tin at 6%.
Wylam, Track, Dry & Bitter & North Brewing Collab. Four breweries, five styles - it felt like. Dry Hopped. But Double. Heading for IPA. Via a Sour Mash. Don't read the can, you'll never buy it.
Look. Nice, powerful beer. I'm not quite sure what they're trying to do. It tastes v hopped to me. The sourness is buried layers below.
