I'm new to this caper.....
Ball-Sup Mission Statement.
Give a lie to the view that "The Beer is Shit"

I'm Phil & this is the introduction to my Blog about my pursuit of local & craft beer around the world.
I am a Sports Tourist travelling the globe watching mainly football (soccer - that's the last time I'm using that word) & cricket.
I used to be a volume drinker. Beer mainly. The cheaper the better. But always the local stuff if it was out there. I had nothing against the major industrial brands - except price. I just wanted a cheap ADS - Alcohol Delivery System. The fuel for wild nights out following the England football & cricket teams.
But, you know, time, money & blood tests catch up with you in the end. I'm now trying for beer quality (or certainly beer range) over quantity.
Of course I wish I'd started this Blog earlier. I could have told tales.
My first go on Italian craft beers at the pizza restaurant half way up the hill in San Marino. England won 8-0.
The Mikkeller cellar bar in Copenhagen. England won 2-1.
The Debacle Bar in Canberra. Still my favourite bar name in the world. England beat Australia 3-1 in the series & I drank 200 different Aussie beers.
I've never really been a Ticker. If I had been I'd be able to lay my credentials out better in this intro.
But some history is easy to recreate. I've been to every football European (UEFA, EUROs) & World Cup (FIFA) championship which England have qualified for since 1988. Germany, Italy, Sweden, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, Portugal, South Africa and Ukraine. And many other countries in qualifying & friendlies.
I've been to cricket world cups (ICC) in South Africa & India & the mini world cup (Champions Trophy) in Sri Lanka. And I've been to Test Series in those countries & West Indies, Australia, New Zealand & Pakistan (played in Dubai & Abu Dhabi).
But, for this Blog, the sport is just a way of choosing which countries I go to in search of beer.
