Increasingly annoyed with road works disrupting your bus route? Don't fret. Turn it to your advantage. Us Ball Suppers turn it into BBR - Bus Beer Roulette.

Much resurfacing on Fulwood & Nethergreen Roads. Wait for the bus at The Academy at Shirecliffe. If an 83 comes, the roulette ball settles on the Beer House 623 at Hunters Bar. If the 83a comes. You can double the bet. It's either The Ranmoor Inn if Fulwood Rd is closed. Or, The Rising Sun if Nethergreen Rd is closed.

Spin. The. Wheel.

So, here we are in The Ranmoor Inn.  Lovely refreshing pint of Abbeydale, Deception on cask at 4.1%. Celebrating a slightly undeserved two one win for The Blades U18. Don't get me wrong. They were good at times. But, so were Wednesday. A draw would have been fair.

They nicked it in the 95th minute. The 18s play a lot of their games on Saturdays. So, I don't see them all that much. And I don't instantly recognise them all. Shea Gordon looks calm & composed at this level. He's not the full head & shoulders. But, he does stand out.

The Centre Half Production Line continues. I think that was Callum Semple & Jo Cummings out there. Strong & assured.

Brodie Litchfield looked the pick of the forwards. He was knocked to the ground to win the penalty right at the end of the first half.

Not much prospect of first team derbies for a while. Take your bragging rights where you can.
