When you’re struggling for form, you need to go back to your core base values. After 28 Dry Days, it was The Red Lion & The Lord Nelson (Fannys). And, an easy drinking session abv ale & a more robust, malty effort. That Saddle won’t get back on itself.
I went, Sheffield Brewery Company, Five Rivers on cask at 3.8%. And Pennine Brewing, Fright Night at 4%. Both were excellent. Kept very well. Nice & refreshing. The Pennine was well balanced & just the right amount of sweetness. With that Monkey Off My Back, I can now crack on over coming months.
I thought United were worth that. Same story of a lot of balls & men in the box. But, few clear cut chances. They kept going & got just reward. These games are increasingly banana skin. Less & less popular with the fans of the “bigger team”. Although the attendance held up as Season Ticket Holders could use their ticket. More & more popular with the day trippers from the “smaller team”. Squad rotation. Putting people in the shop window. Concentrating on the League. Difficult to gee the Big Time Charlies up for it.
Job needs doing. Got done.
