An entertaining nil nil. Quite a lot of goalmouth action. Indeed, the Mickleover keeper has kept them in it with some great shot stopping & point blank saves. Disappointingly, a little bad tempered at times. Mickleover had a guy sent off near the end for an off the ball incident I didn’t see. I doubt the referee saw it either. He’s off on the word of the linesman.

Even after the final whistle, the Mickleover players were chirping at the United player who had gone down in that incident. It all seemed a little - I’ll see you round the back of the bike sheds. Unnecessary.

Not a bad little Club House. A little frayed at the edges. Looked to me like one rotating cask line on. Salute to that. Tonight’s was Timothy Taylor, Landlord at 4.3%. It was fine. Not really in tip top, refreshing condition. But fine.

I went down to The Nags Head & The Masons in Mickleover itself before the game. The Nags is standard, PubCo Chain. Nice beer selection mind. I went Dancing Duck, Waddle It Be on cask at 4.5%.

The Masons was being renovated around us. The higher bar was undergoing sanding and paint touch up. While we were drinking in the lower bar. Camerons, A Hop-Alypse Now (sigh) on cask at 4.3%. It looked cloudy, but tasted nice. Beer Of The Day in fact.
