Free beer today. Don't get excited. PubCo Ember Inns launching a beer called Ember Pale Ale on cask at 4%. Brewed by Black Sheep. They gave CAMRA Members a voucher to try it.
Served a bit warm I thought (The Sportsman, Benty Lane). Refreshing enough. Nicely balanced. Easy drinking. Free.
Bumper crowd of 224 up at Sandygate. A good go from Hallam. I don't know if Frickley had a full side out. Or rested players. But, they're further up The Pyramid & they've bossed it.
There's always next year. And all to play for in the League.
