4,018 Baggers, Glory Hunters, West Yorkshire TeaCakes & associated Hangers On at the game. Not bad that. I can't wait for the U18/U21 fixtures for next season to be announced.
Whisper it. But, I'm not a great fan of the format. I'd prefer a straightforward shoot out between the winners of the North & the winners of the South. SUFC would not have been in either the U18 nor U21 Finals under that system.
I'm a strong supporter of the Wilder appointment. Although, I'd have been happy enough to have Adkins stay. But, it'll be interesting to see what happens to some of these U two ones under Tufty. Adkins Teacher's Pets Reed, Whiteman, Kelly, Brooks, Ramsdale all involved in the First Team Squad recently. And the Bad Lads in Detention, Kennedy & Diego. Tel has apparently been told he's done by the Adkins regime.
Here's my pointers for Wilder. Get tight on, close them down, block their shots. Get our own shots off. Improve at our own corners.
And. There was a lot of that going on today. But, Adkins stepped some up (as mentioned plus Dom C-L). They didn't really make the breakthrough.
Good game. Lots going on. Heaps of commitment from both sides. Callum Semple, I like. Domestic season over. Rejoice.
