Hodgson rested some. Wales have mullered those Pesky Russians. We've been condemned to another lap around France. Whoop. Whoop.

I don't much mind. You've got to play someone somewhere. It's a big country. I can sort of see what Hodgson was doing. But, I'm more of a believer in honing, continuity & momentum.

But, he's been able to do that because of the format. And, it's Shit. Sheffield to Marseille to Lens to St Etienne. To get rid of just 8 teams. UEFA have gone for quantity over quality. How do you end up with the third game in the group. Where both teams will qualify. More or less whatever happens. Shit. Nothing matters. Nothing happens. Get it over the line. Move on.
