Derbyshire Wayfarer (sees you right to Burton) & Burton to Bescot Stadium Off Peak Day Return ticketysplit today. Only ballache is you have got to use a train which stops at Burton. You don't need to change there or owt. The train just has to stop.

I’m tempted to say - welcome to the month before last. Just to make the point that we’ve been playing great. But, it is in Division 3. Whenever The Shoreham Boys chant - “we’re gonna win the league”. My brain chants - no “we’re gonna win A league”. A sense of perspective is what’s required. We’re doing great. We’ll need to keep on the gas. But, HMS Piss The League - we ain’t.

We’re still light up front. So, we’ll have lots of possession. But, nowt on the end of it. We’ve still got defensive frailties. So, we’ll concede sometimes. The keeper will sometimes have an off day. Teams will have a bit of luck. Get ahead of us, We’ll have to chase it. It won’t come off. But, this league doesn’t lie. We’ve been right at the top of our game & we’re correctly right up there. But, the other teams’ll want to win an’ all.

Frayed edges is all. Just a little drift into square pegs, round holes. Done at wing back for example. I hated it under Adkins. I hate it now. Walsall caught us. Salute. But, we’re not done yet.

Old favourite. The Wellington in Birmingham. What's not to like. Convenient for New Street. Opens at 10am. Thirteen out of sixteen on when I arrived. Up to fifteen by 1100. The two new ‘uns were Burning Sky n Red Willow. I mean. Fucking have that.

Froth Blowers, Piffle Snonker on cask at 3.8%. Very pale amber in the glass. Tight, slightly foaming head. Marvellous lacing. Tastes very fresh. Citrus on the nose. With lemon just dominating. Surprised me a bit. Very hop forward on first gulp. A nice initial bitterness settles down into mouthfilling (gentle) lemon citrus. Leave it a while. Further down the glass, the bitter begins to dominate. Right up my street that.

Bragby Twt Lol, Twti Ffrwti on cask at 4% Lots of apple in the smell. Very appealing. Upfront hops again. Mouthfilling bitterness. Some neat sweetness. Hint of toffee. A lot going on. Very well balanced.

And, completed by Mallinsons, US Premium on cask at 4.5%.
