8 Korean Beer Ticks
Thick n Fast. That felt a bit more normal today. NOT an out of town 2002 World Cup new build. Indeed, a more recent, smaller & more intimate purpose built football stadium. One sweeping roof covers three sides. And, a much smaller uncovered end. Not many fans here in the grand scheme of things.
At the final whistle, it was a straightforward walk off the concourse, cross the road, get on the Metro affair. Not many of them about on this trip. Allows time for a lovely KaBrew, Golden Ale on keg at 4.5% in I Love Pub (no, really) just round the corner from Mapo tube. Mandarin. Marmalade. Good underpinning bitterness. Well balanced, with some complexity.
Some nice beer shenanigans in the ground. Cass, Cloud & hite in big tins. One bar ran out at the end of the first header & closed. All the others were restocked with tins which hadn't been in the fridge.
Natch, it has to be poured into plastic glasses. No tins in the seats. Except they haven't got any plastic glasses large enough to hold 500 mil. Nor big enough to hold 250 mil. So, if you bought one beer, it comes in three glasses. Which rapidly diminishes the stock of plastic glasses. So, when they run out of glasses. Simple. They now WILL sell you the tin.
Me & my Korean Cousins opened a gate into a corner section where you could spread out, put your tin on a table, drink & watch the game in comfort.
All Emergency Exits padlocked shut behind the Big End. I explained the problem to Plod. Fair play. They considered it. And concluded there wouldn't be a fire. So, that's OK then.
I sat down through the Saudi anthem. Maybe that shows disrespect. Hope so.
