500 Australian Beer Ticks

I even managed to cram in a disappointing visit to Harts Pub on The Rocks. A bit churlish. As I was with friends. And, we had a great old wag of chin. Some supper. And, I finally took my Australian Beer Tick list to 500. But, Harts was in full on Pub With No Beer mode. There were nominally 11 on. But, on two orders, I was told “that one is not pouring right for some reason”.

And. We go again. Eleven on. But two off. Three great 'uns.

Yulli's Brews, Norman Pale Ale at 4.9%.
Good beer. Some upfront hoppy bitterness. Tongue tingling. Descends into gentle stone fruit.
Mismatch Brewing, Session Ale at 4%.
Great refreshing beer. I'm getting some orange, some barley sugar, some wine gum.
Rocks Brewing Co, Conviction Series IPA at 8%. I was a little unsure of that one at first. It was a grower. But, felt a little underpowered all round.

I felt much the same way about the Cricket as I did Harts. When you dissect it, it all stacks up. But, naggingly, it doesn't seem right.

The Tail wagged a bit. Moeen, Curran & Broad all got to 30 or more. Broad at basically a run a ball. With two sixes. To give an under par best part of 350. Some comedy dropped catches from the Aussies. Hate figure and all round place in jeopardy Cameron Bancroft went off the eighth ball. Bowled by a Broad Snorter. But, by the end, Smudge & Khawaja had well and truly booked in.

There is a lot of Cricket to be played. But, ominous it looks.
