I pushed my season Brewery visits up to 102 with a visit to Stancill Brewery in Neepsend. I'm not sure what they have in mind for the premises going forward. There is certainly a lot of space. The event I was at was a one-off. To launch their new lager. Alleged, straight from the tank. Alright. A Brewery tick is a tick. But. Firstly. That lager is just ordinary. I've been piling into excellent pseudo Czech dirty Pilsners from British breweries a LOT recently. The more unfiltered the better. Some absolute BELTERS out there. Reasonably insipid identikit Stancill Lager - isn't. Just ordinary.

Secondly. I'll take your word that comes from the tank. But, I'll be honest. I couldn't actually see a tank. On the other side of the brewery. Yes. Tuns & Vessels aplenty. But. Over there. Where you're pouring it. Tankless. Must have been some serious pipework.

Right. Let's go full Heretic. We aren't a top two Championship side. Games & results like today show that. Of course, we might finish in the top two. But, we aren't a top two Championship side. We're a fantastic side. When we're on, don't fucking switch off. We've played some mental football. I've loved it week in & week out. Smiley football. We're bang in the mix. But, we're just a little bit too inconsistent. A little bit no Plan B. A little bit not a top two Championship side. We might finish in the top two. No worries. I'm a heretic. If it's the Play Offs, let's get at it.

I thought Basham was superb today (again). With no one breaking from midfield. With Wilder changing the shape. With injuries. Basham had to do any number of jobs today. Superb.
