The essential news on Day 2 of MLB's London experiment was, the Beer turned up. All evidence points to a simple fact. The commissioned beer. Requested by MLB. Brewed by Mondo Brewing. Named for the London Series. Was nowhere to be seen on Day 1. But, was sat there taunting us on the very first bar we walked past. Impromptu laminated signs an' all that palaver. And, so, it was with some confusion that I went for;
Mondo Brewing Co, MLB London Series Pale on keg at 4.8%. It was OK. Looked superb. Nice & opaque. Tasted a bit SUS - Safe, Underpowered, Subdued. The sugar came with a bit of orange citrus. And it was nicely balanced.
A mental 9 run seventh innings by the Yankees has dominated that game. The Red Sox were 4-2 up going into that.
