All credit to Sunderland. They deserved that. EFL. Superb set of leagues. Come at me with any old shit you like. About staying in the Premier League. About resting players for the Premier League. About giving fringe Premier League players game time. Simply. Where's the fucking fun in all that? Come at me.

Saving ourselves for what? Finishing eighth so we get in the Europa League. So we can fucking rest players in that an' all. Points. Leon Clarke is a baller. Came on & did loads. Kieron Freeman, looked sluggish. Has he got owt left? Otherwise. Why can't they just stand up & push the door. Surely they know that. But, good players are better players when they play with other good players. Consistently. Change a lot. Chuck a lot in. That's what happens.

Not for the last time. Beer Supping saved the day. Two belters. Both in The Devonshire Cat.

Abbeydale Brewery & Box Social Brewing Co, Sterile Tears, American IPA on cask at 7%. I'm a big fan of these full on, North of six and half cask IPAs. That was a thick, head spinning beer. A rich bitterness running through it. That, understandably, was balanced against spooned in sugar sweetness. With a long finish.

Abbeydale Brewery, Salvation, Cranachan Stout on keg at 4.5%. There was an awful lot to love in that one. What I really liked about it was the clear & distinctive taste of raspberries. That sort of set you up for a was it really there, psychosomatic creaminess.
