Different Bulgarian Beer Ticks = 3

If you feel I say anything sanctimonious about "the racism", call me out on it. I can't abide sanctimony. That was by 145th England away game. And my second time to see England in Sofia. This Prague/Sofia double header has been a bit full on. We didn't really have time for any proper Beer Hunting in Sofia. Industrial Macro Brands notwithstanding, we basically hit just one place.

Bira Bar. The main oddity was that, to all appearances, they had Fuller's London Pride & ESB ON CASK. I stared as much as I dared. I gently quizzed. I had the Bulgarian Beer on the next handpull. And, they did seem to be cask. One early drinking Bulgarian Brother was happy enough to confirm he went in there just to drink ESB. He congratulated me on finding a bar which served English beer. Of course, we'd gone in there to drink the Bulgarian Micros. Nice fella - possibly not all Bulgarians are racist.

The beer was right up there. Caught me unawares if I'm honest.

Brewery 359, Divo Pico, Pale Ale on keg at 4.5%. That had the lot going on. Superb. Opaque. Very quick apricot hit. Then goes full on bitter. Incredibly long finish.

I guess it's clear to all that England played much better than in Prague. But, on a mad night. Whole swathes of the ground closed due to previous. Hardly rammed in the other bits. One group of Ultras behind a Lauta Army flag at the far end. Running track between us & the players. Fucking 2145pm kick. I am not a fan of that. With the pointless Bulgarian Plod Lock In, it was gone midnight when I left the ground. What you gonna do? Flat trip.
