SUFC 2021/22 Game #67
We're running out of games to absolutely cement a play off place. While also running out of games to get pushed out of a play off place. Football, eh?
At the end of all that, it felt like a game we needed to win, could have won, maybe should have won. With Sharp & McBurnie out injured, Dan Jebbison fell all the way out of the squad. We basically started with no recognised striker - Gibbs-White & Ndiaye doing that shift. And Will Osula on the bench.
That lead to a lot of possession just outside the box. And a lot of that possession moving sideways. Just need one threaded pass. Or trick flick to come off. Or corner routine. Which now heavily rely on the makeshift striker Gibbs-White standing out near the kicker, and a ball to Norwood way outside the box.
Despite the fact it meant I had to go down to a how the fucking hell have we let it get to this chaotic concourse at HT, there was a Beer In The Ground KLAXON.

for the first time. Seriously impressive place. The building looks superb from a distance over the other side of the water. A ludicrous 16 of their own on Keg, plus two cask, plus 5 guest.
LHG Brewpub, Kellerbier, German style lager on Keg at 5%
Saaz hops. A lot of sugar from the grains. Very good.
LHG Brewpub, Hazy Pale on Keg at 4.5%
Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops. Nice, lovely, straightforward hazy thingy-majig. A bit of citrus, but it's mainly mellowed out from the off.
And the Outstanding Beer Of The Day

If this Blog had any regular readers (hint - it doesn't) then they'd notice a theme developing. I'm just loving ALL these sub three an' half Table Beers at the mo'. This one oozing Mosaic and Vics Secret hops. Lots of tropical & citrus fruits ganging up. Packs a punch. All Hail The Tables.
