A bit gratuitous that one. I felt like a Day Tripper Fan. But, it's very rare I can Blag tickets for the Rugby, so I'm glad I did it. Exciting game an’ all for those of us who basically see the game as a pattern. And, who are a bit sketchy on the finer detail. England scored a Try after two minutes. And then England had a number of those - we're having a line out, we'll catch it, form a Maul & we'll all push it over. One of those was pushed over for the second Try. England lead 15 zip at one stage.
With five minutes to go, England went over for a take the lead Try, after they charged down a kick. But, the Try went upstairs & was overturned for a marginal offside call. As I said, exciting stuff. It looked to my untrained eye like too many handling & turnover errors by England.
Twickenham Fine Ales open their Brewery as a Taproom for some games at Twickenham & The Stoop. We were a bit time critical. And, although I've been there years ago, I wanted to tick off the Brewery. In the mid-May 2018 to mid-May 2019 year, that takes me up to 54 breweries visited. So, just that one beer venue today.
Two on gravity cask. One on keg. I went...
Twickenham Fine Ales, Naked Lady on cask at 4.4%
Twickenham Fine Ales, Pale on keg at 4%
Both were excellent. The Naked Lady had a great floral hop taste. But, the bitterness came in nicely & fitted well. I've no evidence, but it tasted honed & well bedded in. The keg pale was just how I like it. Uncomplicated. Peach, but not too sweet. Into gentle, but tasty bitterness. Spot on.
