NBDR No Beer Don't Read
A difficult day for Blogging out at Christopher Park. Blustery doesn't cover it. First time I can genuinely remember saying;
“It's too windy to make notes.”
A Wigan MudHutter had his bobble hat blown off and I went to retrieve it. That established a relationship. On 75, he said his goodbyes. He pointed true North West to the sky and said;
“You'll get drenched by that lot if you don't leave now.”
Therefore, he missed the Young Blades third and final on 82. To bring home a deserved and comprehensive victory.
Ryan Andrews making his U Two One debut in the - that won't fucking last that colour for long - white GK jersey. Levis Pitan in the middle of a three. Evan Easton on his right. Jack Waldron wider. Nix Gomis at LCB. With Jili Buyabu outside him. Ryan Oné and ‘nando Macedo up top. Hampson (incidentally he was with the first team v West Ham) centre mid. Chaz Staniland right. Jay Tinsdale left.
Blacker replaced Tinsdale on 78. Ben Drake replaced Oné at the death.
The CBF oracle declared there were four away fans. But, I'm ashamed to explain that an almighty Carrier Bag Firm row broke out amongst us early on.
Ryan Oné pressed a Wigan throw. Robbed his man. Took it on and scored the opener. I looked at the stopwatch. 2mins 19secs. Great start.
“Second minute.”
I declaimed. But, noting that Minnie's hand had gone past two on his unofficial timepiece, one of the Baggers had the audacity to correct me;
“No Phil. THIRD minute. That makes it the THIRD minute.”
Unbelievable.
On 65 (or 66, I don't give a fuck) Macedo made it two. He picked up a loose ball just inside the half. Everything opened in front of him. He drew the keeper and calmly finished.
On 82 slash 83, the ball was worked across the area, ended with Jili. Who thunderbastarded the third. He'd had a great game. As did Keeper Andrews who kept us in it a few times.
“What, no I don't have the times of those crucial saves, using either timekeeping convention.”
