One door closed on a Double Header Wednesday, as the U23s were cancelled away at Crewe. So, we used the other open door and did the NFYL League Cup up at Handsworth. This was the last 16. The Community Blades were always in the game, of sorts. But a goal on 22 meant that Rochdale could control things a bit. As United chased the game more & more, Rochdale were able to put the lid on it on 76 minutes.
Important win for the First Team at The Lane later in the day. Maybe we're still a team who have got a silly concede in us. But. We didn't. Maybe we're a team who will struggle to score at times. But. Score we did. We're under the radar for momentum. Because whatever the fucking result, we seem to stay tenth. Four straight wins. Unbeaten in five. Putting points together.

In the Cab up there, I ruled - "I do NOT want another Keg beer". Only to find they'd got;
Abbeydale, Double Deception, Imperial IPA on Keg at a pleasing 8.2%
I love it when Brewers come up with variants & twists on their core range. And Abbeydale are masters at it. That was a lovely & serious variant. A lot of sugar was left over, making it rich & luxurious.
